Trolley Crisis Putting Pressure On Frontline Staff At CUH
The trolley crisis is putting huge pressure on front line staff at Cork University Hospital
The INMO's Liam Conway made the comment at the union's annual conference in Cork as figures show the hospital has had its worst year on record, with over 3,500 patients on trolleys at the hospital in the last three months.
The union says the majority of these patients are very vulnerable, with many over the age of 75.
Yesterday Cork University Hospital was the second most overcrowded hospital in the country with 36 patients being treated on trolleys and overflow wards
Speaking to RedFM News, Liam Conway from the INMO says a lack of step down facilities is a cause of enourmous strain for staff
