Twenty people arrested in Cork in drugs operation

The undercover operation has been in place for the last six months.
Up to 20 people have been arrested in Cork in a Garda led undercover drugs operation.
The operation has been in place for the last six months in Cork, Dublin and Wexford which has seen undercover detectives posing as drug users
and mixing with dealers.
They have been purchasing bags of heroin in a street clean operation, in an effort to gather evidence and intelligence and in the last three days have arrested up to 20 people across the city.
A number of these people have been arrested and bailed but it's understood at this stage that up to 15 of those arrested are due before the district court in the next few days.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show TV3's Paul Byrne described how the operation worked.
