Two Gardai From West Cork To Travel To Portugal As Part Of An EU Police Exchange Programme

The Exchange Programme allows for the sharing of policing work practices
Two members of the West Cork Garda division will travel to Portugal in the coming months as part of an EU police exchange programme.
The Gardaí, both of whom are detective sergeants, will spend a week working with officers from the Portuguese police force involved in drug trafficking and organised property crime.
The Exchange Programme allows for the sharing of policing work practices and enhancement of co-operation in combating crime across EU member states.
Two Portuguese police officers have previously travelled to Cork as part of the programme.
