Two men arrested after Gardaí found €70,000 worth of heroin at a checkpoint in Rathduff
Gardaí from the Mallow Roads Policing Unit noticed a car stop short of the checkpoint and an occupant throwing something from the car on Tuesday evening
Gardaí located a bag of heroin following a search of the area.
The men in their 30s and 40s were arrested at the scene and taken to Mallow Garda Station.
The man in his 30s was released without charged pending a file to the DPP, while the man in his 40s was charged and is due in court in Midleton this morning.
