Two Men Continue To Be Questioned Following Series Of Armed Robberies In Cork
Gardaí Leeside are continuing to question two men who were arrested in connection with a number of armed robberies.
Both men - one aged in his 50s and the other in his 30s - are being detained at Bridewell Garda Station.
The incidents took place yesterday morning, when a filling station and two shops were targeted by the assailants who were armed with knives.
Only a small amount of cash from one of the incidents is believed to have been taken and no one was physically injured.
A follow-up operation by Gardaí led to the interception of a car used in the robberies.
