Two Men Due In Court Over Attack In Cork

Two men are due to appear in court in Cork this morning in connection with the robbery of a taxi driver in the city earlier this week. The taxi driver had collected a fare in Ballincollig and was bringing the two male passengers to the northside of the city when one of them put a knife to the drivers throat. The two made off on foot with around €150 in cash. The driver, who is in his late 40s, suffered a minor injury to his throat and was also badly shaken by the ordeal. Two men will be charged in connection with the incident at Cork District Court this morning.
