Two men who died in crash between motorbike and car in Charleville yesterday afternoon named locally
20 year old Michael McCarthy from Charleville and 73 year old Peter Heffernan from Dromcollogher in Co Limerick died following a collision on the N20 at Rathgoggin at around 2pm.
Emergency services including the North Cork based Irish Community Rapid Response Air Ambulance attended the crash, however both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed to allow for an examination but has since reopened.
Gardaí in Mallow are appealing for anyone who was in the area between 1.30pm and 3pm to contact them on 022 31450.
