Two New Community Gardaí Allocated To Douglas Area Following Recent Spike In Anti-Social Behaviour

The Gardaí reported for their first shift this morning, with Douglas Garda station now opening 9am to 1pm Monday to Thursday.
Earlier this month a man sustained head injuries when he was attacked and robbed by a group of teenagers in Mount Oval, while two 17 year olds were assaulted in Garryduff and Mount Oval in two separate incidents.
Bus Eireann also cancelled the operation of the 216 bus for a time due to anti-social behaviour in the Maryborough Hill area.
Speaking to RedFM News, local councillor Mary Rose Desmond says the arrival of the new Gardaí will go a long way towards making people feel safe:
