Two women due in court in connection with a firearm incident in Mahon yesterday evening

It follows the arrests of nine people and the seizure of a number of weapons after a shot was fired in Mahon at around 5:15pm.
It happened in the Ravensdale Close area but no one was injured.
Gardai carried out follow up searches at two homes and three cars were searched.
A number of weapons were found and four men, four women and a teenage boy were arrested.
A woman and the teenager have been released without charge while the four men and a woman are continuing to be held at stations in Cork.
