Two Youghal RNLI Volunteers Have A Royal Engagement At Buckingham Palace Next Week

Seamus Mason and his wife Susan, will attend the Queen's Garden Party in Buckingham Palace
Two long serving volunteers from Youghal RNLI have a Royal engagement at Buckingham Palace next week.
Former station mechanic Seamus Mason who has been a volunteer with the RNLI for 30 years and his wife Susan, secretary of the fundraising branch in Youghal, will attend the Queen's Garden Party in Buckingham Palace next Tuesday
Every year The Queen hosts the garden party as a way to recognise and reward public service.
Seamus was nominated to attend the garden party by RNLI Area Lifesaving Manager, in recognition of his service and dedication to Youghal RNLI over the last three decades.
Over the course of each year, The Queen welcomes over 30,000 guests to spend a relaxed summer afternoon in the grounds of Buckingham Palace where 27,000 cups of tea, 20,000 sandwiches and 20,000 slices of cake are consumed.
