UCC appeals to Cystic Fibrosis sufferers to take part in a major international trial

The EU-funded European/US clinical project is called CF Matters
University College Cork has issued an appeal for Cystic Fibrosis sufferers to take part in a major international trial.
The College is taking part in an EU-funded European/US clinical project called CF Matters.
It aims to identify bacteria in CF lungs to adopt a more targeted approach to the application of anti-biotics to achieve greater treatment outcomes.
Professor Barry Plant of UCC says progress is being made but more volunteers are needed.
