UCC Dishes Up Free Meals
The UCC Environmental Society is highlighting the amount of food that goes to waste every day. They dished up 500 free dinners to students and staff on campus today. The meals were made from nutritious ingredients that supermarkets couldn't sell due to expiry dates that were almost up. One third of food purchased in Ireland is dumped.
