UCC graduate speaks out to RedFM News about fight to overhaul medical system after terminal cancer diagnosis

Adrienne Cullen says her story and that of the likes of Vicky Phelan and Emma Mhic Mhathúna are deeply disturbing.

That's Adrienne Cullen, a UCC graduate, who is terminally ill with cervical cancer and says her story and that of the likes of Vicky Phelan and Emma Mhic Mhathúna are deeply disturbing.

The 58-year-old underwent hospital tests in the Netherlands - some of which went missing. It wasn't until 2013 during a review of old pathology results that it was discovered that a test she underwent for cancerous tissue was in fact positive.

By 2015, tests showed the cancer had spread and following the delay in diagnosis the cancer was terminal.
