UCC student dies of Meningitis

Students at UCC are being urged to be on the look out for the symptoms of meningitis after a 20 year old student died from the disease yesterday.

The Meningitis Research Foundation has received a number of calls from concerned students. 

Up to 200 cases of meningitis are reported in Ireland every year and 1 in 10 of them result in death.
