UCC students end sit-in as university agrees to extend library hours
A sit-in which was staged by UCC students at their campus library has come to an end. Over 300 students staged the sit-in at the Boole Library in a bid to get the opening hours extended. It's the first year exams are taking place at the end of the two semesters and students said the opening hours on offer were unacceptable. However the university has agreed to extend library opening hours for the remainder of the exam period following intensive talks with the Students’ Union.
