UCC students stranded in Brussels due home today
The group have been forced to remain in their hostel in the city following the terror attacks
There is a huge sense of relief for 30 students and staff from UCC who are due home today after being stranded in Brussels...
The group from the college's geography department travelled to the Belgian capital on Friday for an educational trip and had to remain inside a hostel in the city following the terror attacks.
31 people were killed in the blasts at the airport and on the metro system.
UCC say they arranged alternative flights to bring the group home and they are due to arrive in Ireland at different times across morning.
Speaking to RedFM News from Brussels, UCC student Jessica Higginbotham says she expects lots of familiar faces at the airport
