UCC Students Union Has Hit Out At Plans By The College Which Would See The Student Capitation Fee More Than Doubled

UCC is planning to increase the fee from €170 per student per year, to €250
This will affect the incoming first years this Autumn.
This will then rise to 370 euro in 2023, on top of the 3,000 euro student contribution charge.
This follows UCC's plans to increase the cost of its on-campus accomodation by over 500 euro for the 2019/2020 academic year.
Speaking to RedFM News, Kelly Coyle from UCC Student's Union says the university's handling of the situation has been a kick in the teeth.
