UCC To Reduce The Contract Length For Their Student Accommodation By Three Weeks

The change is due to Covid-19
The provisional date for the start of lecturers is the 28th of September, however some courses will start earlier.
The university have confirmed students will be able to stay in one of their five student accommodation centres for 34 weeks and say no other changes are being made to the booking system.
It comes as students staying at Dublin City University owned accommodation will have the option to take their room for the full semester or book it for specific dates.
Speaking to RedFM News, Welfare Officer at UCC Student's Union Jamie Fraser says there's a reason why some universities can offer that flexability:
