UK told free movement of people must remain

The UK's been told it will have to allow free movement of people if it wants to keep free trade with the EU.

And other EU leaders have also warned that the UK will have to pay for the privilege of retaining access to the single market.

Enda Kenny and the leaders of the 26 remaining EU states have met at the European Council to discuss how Britain should now be treated.

The council's president Donald Tusk says Britain can't pick and choose which parts of the EU it wants to keep:
