Uncertainty surrounds future of Cork's Event Center

Uncertainty surrounding the future of the Events Center is continuing to fuel fear that the development won't go ahead.


The sod was turned on the €50 million facility ahead of the general election in February however construction is yet to get underway.

Minister for Housing Cork's Simon Coveney has moved to allay fears and says all parties are on board and internal design elements are the only issues causing delays. 

Speaking to RedFM News Lord Mayor Cllr Chris O'Leary says he can't see developers walking away from the project which is receiving public funding to the tune of €20 million:
