Uncle of Cobh man killed in London hits out at murderer's sentence

A relative of a Cobh man who was stabbed to death by a teenager in London just before Christmas says he believes the teen should have been jailed for life. 53 year old Christopher John Barry, who was known as Jack, was stabbed twice in the chest, outside his home in Edmonton in north London last December after he disturbed a gang who were attempting to gain access to the flat complex. On Friday a 13-year-old boy was jailed for at least 11 years for his murder. The Old Bailey heard the boy, who was one of the youngest children to plead guilty, had been 'a gang member' from the age of 10. AUDIO: Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Jack's uncle Noel, who lives in Cobh and had brought Jack up from a young age, says he doesn't believe the sentence reflects the seriousness of the crime.
