Unesco Conference In Cork Brings Boost Of €1 Million To Local Economy
The Unesco International Conference on learning cities is underway in Cork today.
The three-day conference on Learning Cities will attract around 650 delegates, the majority of which will be overseas vistiors.
40 mayors from countries across the globe including Austrailia, Brazil, Mexico, South Korea, Africa, and Europe will also be in attendence.
Cork is the first European city to host the global confernece and it's expected to give a €1 million boost to the city.
Speaking to RedFM News Lord Mayor Cllr Tony Fitzgerald says the conference was a great win for Cork:
