Union representing Irish Fire Fighters seeking an urgent meeting with the Housing Minister to discuss multi-storey fire safety
It comes as the Minister announces he's requested local authorities to review fire safety right around the country
Minister Eoghan Murphy says the Grenfell Tower tragedy in London is a reminder of the need for vigilance at all times and he'll be contacting all Chief Fire Officers in the coming days and weeks.
SIPTU's John King says their members want to raise a number of issues with the Minister, to ensure the future safety of the public and the fire teams that protect them.
