Unions say it's not too late for Bus Eireann drivers to take industrial action

It comes following Bus Eireann's decision to cut to all premiums which is due to affect sick pay, overtime and Sunday rates
Unions representing drivers at Bus Éireann say it's not too late to avoid industrial action.
It's after the company yesterday announced unilateral cuts to all premiums as of the 20th of February - this affects sick pay, overtime and Sunday rates.
A public meeting was held in Youghal by the National Bus and Rail Union and according to a report in the Irish Examiner the union says they will do their damnedest to retain rural services should industrial action occur.
The reduction of Bus Eireann's Expressway Routes in rural areas has been compared to the decline of other rural services following the closure of post offices, Garda stations and banks.
Unions have described the financial crisis within the company as being 'manufactured' through bad policy decisions.
SIPTU Divisional Organiser Greg Ennis says time is running out.
