Up to 300 construction jobs are to be created with the new €50 million euro extension to the Bons Secours

The six storey development will include a new critical care unit, inpatients wards, oncology day ward, and additional four operation theatres and recovery rooms, as well as 81 new private rooms
The Evening Echo reports construction on the project is set to begin next month, and will take two years to complete.
Preparatory works are currently underway, with a new bridge over the river Lee and a new entrance on the Western Road recently completed.
