Up to €20 million in funding for Dinish Wharf development

The works are expected to begin late next year.
Traders in Castletownbere have welcomed plans to develop Dinish Wharf.
Seafood and marine industries are set to get a major boost following the announcement of government funding of up to 20 million euro for the works.
The measures include a major pier extension which will see it almost double in size and shipyard facilities will also be upgraded.
The works are expected to begin by late next year and hoped to be completed by 2017.
Speaking to RedFM News, Chairman of the Castletownbere Development Association Darren Lynch says it will boost many sectors of the local area.
