UPDATE: Bus Protest at Capwell Bus Depot has been lifted

Bus services are back up and running across the city but expect delays

A picket mounted by locals from Mahon at Capwell Bus depot which paralysed bus services across the city this morning has been lifted..

The protest was mounted shortly after 5am this morning by a group from Mahon over the reduction of the 202 service which they say has left the Skehard Road under serviced and Mahon Point and Ringmahon Road super served

Bus Eireann engaged in talks with the protestors and in the past half an hour the picket was lifted after an agreement was reached for the locals to meet with Bus Eireann and the National Transport Authority tomorrow to have the 202 fully re-instated

Local Sinn Fein Cllr Chris O'Leary was on the picket line and he told RedFM News that while he feels sorry for commuters this morning he is laying the blame for the action at Bus Eireann's door
