UPDATE : Man Charged In Connection With A House Burglary In Belgooly

It comes after 35 vehicles parked in driveways in Belgooly, Riverstick and Clonakilty were broken into on Sunday


Gardaí arrested a man in his 30's following a burglary at a house in the Riverbank housing estate in Belgooly last evening 

Shortly after 7pm, Gardaí received a report of a burglary in progress in Belgooly, detective Gardaí from Kinsale on patrol in the area attended the scene and arrested a man. 

He was taken to Bandon Garda Station and he subsequently appeared in court this morning where he was charged in connection with the burglary 

The arrest comes after 35 cars parked in driveways in housing estates in Belgooly, Riverstick and Clonakilty were broken into on Sunday night

Gardai say the gang were looking for cash or property that can be quickly sold on such as laptops, tools, or sports equipment.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in West Cork on Sunday night into Monday morning to contact them and are urging listeners to ensure they take their property with them before parking and locking their cars in a secure and well-lit location
