UPDATE: Road closures due to flooding and a power outage in Midleton

Cloghroe Road and Lee Road closed in the city along with the Park Road in Mallow 344 customers without power in Midleton estimated restoration time 15.45

The heavy rain has led to the closure of some roads across the city and county due to flooding 

The Cloghroe Road has been closed and diversions are  place due to flooding at Healy’s Bridge and at  Muskerry Golf Club. 
There’s potential for flooding west of the church and the Council have now moved to close Inchigaggin Lane 

Elsewhere in the city the Lee Road is also closed due to flooding 

Flooding has led to the closure of Park Road in Mallow 
Elsewhere in the town the Quartertown area has been badly hit by flooding, along with Newbury and motorists are asked to avoid Longfields Bridge 

To the west of the county a lot of surface water has been reported on the main Bandon to Cork road at the Circle K filling station and flooding remains on the road outside Castlelack National School and the Duke's Wood area.

Spot flooding has been reported on the Coolcorran road in Belgooly and road into Ballinhassig from Riverstik near the GAA pitch and 

Gardai are advising extreme care on all minor routes with motorists urged to use primary routes across the day as Cork is under a status Yellow wind and rain warning up to 4 o'clock today 

A power outage affecting nearly 350 customers in Midleton has also been reported

Repair crews are currently battling the elements and working on the fault with an estimated restoration time of 15.45
