UPDATE: Status orange rain warning issued for Cork
Met Éireann is predicting up to 80 millimetres of rain to fall from 7pm tonight until 9pm tomorrow.
The forecaster says the rain is likely to lead to river flooding and spot flooding.
The rest of the country will be under a 24 hour status yellow rain alert from 9pm.
At the same time, a similar wind warning will be in operation for Cork and seven other counties.
Winds of up to 65km/h will gust up to 110km/h.
