Urgent Appeal For Blood Donations Following Storm Emma

The national blood supply has been severely depleted over the last week
The IBTS says as of this morning, they have just 3 days supply on average across all groups and just 2 days in O negative and will be unable to guarantee supply to hospitals unless there is a significant increase in donations over the coming weeks to make up the shortfall
IBTS Operations Director Paul McKinney says all blood groups are low at the moment
** The fixed clinic at St Finbarr's Hospital is open from 3.30pm to 7.30pm today while the mobile clinic is in the West Cork Hotel, Skibbereen between 3pm and 5pm and 7pm and 9pm **
