USS Porter docks in Cobh

The US Navy warship has docked for a 3 day visit in a bid to strengthen maritime partnerships in Ireland
A US Naval warship is docking in Cobh today for a 3 day port visit.
The USS Porter is an Arleigh Burke class destroyer with a crew of over 280 Navy personnel on board.
Captained by Lieutenant Commander Andria Slough, the ship's visit is part of the fleet's efforts to strengthen maritime partnerships in Ireland.
The crew are planning to visit Cobh and the surrounding area during their stay, but members of the public are not allowed on board the ship for security reasons.
