Vandals cause €4,000 worth of damage at Ballinhassig Football Pitch

4,000 euro will need to be raised by a local club in Ballinhassig to repair the damage caused at the football pitch by vandals. Weedkiller was used to burn patterns into the grass and the pitch has been deemed unusable as a result. Club members are now hoping to raise funds to increase security measures to protect the grounds which were only just re-vamped. Groundsman at Ballinhassig AFC Alan Coughlan told the Neil Prendeville Show on RedFM that the whole pitch will have to be rotavated again Press PLAY button above to listen to the audio
