Varadkar says all sides made compromises in programme for government
Members of Fine Gael, Fianna Fáil and the Greens will now have their say on the programme for government, after it was endorsed by the parliamentary parties late last night.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar says compromises were made on all sides in negotiations.
Fine Gael wanted an increase in the state pension age, with it instead being deferred and sent for a commission to review.
While the Occupied Territories Bill sought by the Green Party was also not included.
The Fine Gael leader says all sides gave up ground.
"I think in order to agree a programme for government every party had to make compromises.
"We're very happy with the commitment we got on income tax and USC, very happy with the commitment we got on public finances.
"The models being used for carbon tax and ring fencing it for climate action, again a policy that we very much supported.
"And in some areas we've had to make compromises
