Vera Twomey released by customs officials in Dublin Airport

Cork mother Vera Twomey was detained by Customs officials at Dublin airport this afternoon after she attempted to bring medicinal cannabis into Ireland from Spain.

Vera is campaigning for a change in legislation in order to obtain medicinal cannabis for her daughter Ava on medicinal grounds.

She was later released without charge and no arrests were made.
