Vera Twomey says email from Minister was an insult

A Cork mother has described recent correspondence from the Minister for Health as an insult.
Vera Twomey is currently in Littleton in Co Tipperary as she continues to march to the Dail from her Aghabollugue home in an attempt - to affect legislative change on medicinal cannabis.
Vera received an email from Minister Simon Harris this morning where he said he "understood the stress she is under" as she fights for the right of her daughter - who suffers from a rare form of epilepsy - to receive medicinal cannabis on compassionate grounds.
The family has been in a number of meetings with the Minister and their recent application was refused on the grounds they did not have a paediatric neurologist to sign off on the treatment.
Speaking to RedFM News Vera says receiving an email does nothing to help her move closer to securing the necessary treatment for her daughter:
