Victim of Blackpool shooting dies

The victim of today's shooting in the city has died.

The incident happened at around 5pm on Great William O'Brien Street in Blackpool.

The 37-year-old was rushed to Cork University Hospital but he was pronounced dead.

Two partially burnt out vehicles have been recovered.

RedFM News have learned that one car was found one on Redemption road and the other was discovered in Killeens.

It's understood that no arrests have been made but gardaí in Mayfield are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 021-455-8510.
