Victims of sexual violence urged to come forward

Victims of sexual violence in Ireland are being urged to come forward. It comes after a recent survey identified Ireland as having low levels of help-seeking when it comes to domestic and sexual violence. According to the study 91,000 admitted to experiencing sexual violence within relationships however the EU-wide research showed that under-reporting of the crime was significant. The 'Not happily ever after' campaign has been launched today and aims to challenge the culture of victim-blaming.
