Vigil to be held Leeside in solidarity with Vera Twomey

Hundreds of people are expected to take part in a candle- light vigil outside the City Hall this evening, in support of Vera Twomey.
Vera left her Aghabollugue home last Monday to walk to the Dail in an effort to highlight the plight of her seven year old daughter Ava, who needs access to medicinal cannabis.
The seven year old suffers from a rare form of epilepsy and has up to 20 siezures a day, she needs access to THC in order to ease the severity of the seizures.
The family's application for medicinal cannabis was rejected as a paediatric neurologist was legally unable to sign off on the treatment.
Despite being confined to a wheelchair, Vera is determined to finish her 290km walk to the Dail tomorrow, and says she wants the Health Minister to give her a proper solution for her daughter.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville show on Cork's RedFM Vera says she will camp outside the Dail until the Minister agrees to speak to her if necessary:
