Virtual day of Action will be held today by childcare providers calling for more funding
Early Years Educators will wear red from 1pm, sending a message to the Government that they want more pay.
The event has been organised by 'Together for Early Years' which represents a number of childcare groups.
Federation of Early Childhood Providers Chairperson, Elaine Dunne outlines their demands:
"We are getting involved because what we were looking for is more funding for our sector, so that it reduces fees for parents and it increases the pay for our education and gives the services sustainability. So we decided to mark the 5th of February again this year by coming out with our needs and our wants for the sector yet again."
