26 cases of the norovirus have been confirmed in four wards at the CUH.

Visitor restrictions remain in place at Cork University Hospital amid an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

26 cases of the norovirus have been confirmed in four wards at the CUH and the hospital has taken the decision to impose a ban on all visitors. 

An exception is being made for parents of children and relatives of those who are critically ill.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Clinical Director at CUH Dr Mike O'Connor says they're down 13 beds as a consequence of the bug:
