Wait for basic ulta sound in Cork slammed

Dr. Nick Flynn says GP's have no direct access to certain scans.
Calls are being made for GP's in Cork to have more direct access to scans in a bid to alleviate waiting times for patients.
A Cork GP says patients can be waiting for up to 14 months for an ultrasound and basic X-ray waiting lists are between two and three months.
In a letter seen by RedFM News the Cork doctor was advised that his patient would be seen in June 2017 following his request for a scan.

Dr. Nick Flynn says GP's have no direct access to certain scans and are asked to refer patients to already overcrowded outpatient departments.
Speaking to RedFM News, Dr. Flynn outlines says more needs to be done to tackle the problem:
