Warning issued about mixing alcohol and water activities

People are being warned of the dangers of mixing alcohol with water activity. Drinkaware.ie are urging anyone basking in the sunshine that alcohol slows down people's reaction time and effects their coordination - and should never be consumed before swimming. Alcohol consumption is a factor in nearly a third of drownings in Ireland each year.
