Warning Issued About Opiate In Use In Cork Which Is More Potent Than Heroin

The HSE has issued a warning about a drug which has claimed the lives of two people in Cork in recent weeks..
The opiate 'Fentanyl' has been linked to a total of FIVE drug-related fatalities in Cork and Dublin in recent weeks. The first death in Cork occurred at the end of April followed by three in Dublin at the end of May and a fifth in Cork just last Monday.
It was also cited in toxicology tests following the death of entertainer Prince who died from an accidental overdose in the US earlier this year.
