Water meter protest mounted in Passage West

Residents of a Passage West Housing Estate are the latest to mount a protest against the installation of water meters in Cork. The residents of 84 houses in Ardmore Estate are vowing to continue with their demonstration for as long as it takes. Three months ago water meter protestors at Ashbrook Heights in Togher claimed victory after Irish Water removed meters from their estate after a five week stand off They had been joined in their protest by residents in nearby estates Palmbury and Elmvale Speaking to RedFM News these residents from Ardmore Estate say they're have arranged a rota and somone will be there everyday to ensure no one enters the estate: Press PLAY button above to listen to the audio
