Waterford Cardiac Unit could be moved to CUH

The Taoiseach says it's not politically possible to change the decision of a review of University Hospital Waterford.

Independent Alliance Minister John Halligan says he may have no choice but to resign over the issue.

He had expected the review to recommend the expansion of the cardiac unit at the hospital.

Instead it suggests the unit could be moved to Cork University Hospital.

Enda Kenny says the review was carried out by highly qualified people.
