West Cork Home Focus (Outreach And Individualised Support Programme) Honoured By World Health Organisation

The WHO recognised the West Cork project as one of 25 worldwide, which provides exemplarily person-centered, rights-based, community mental health services
West Cork Home Focus, a programme, in Bantry, providing outreach and individualised supports to people with mental health difficulties has been honoured by World Health Organisation.
The project is a collaboration between National Learning Network West Cork, West Cork Mental Health Services, the Irish Advocacy Network, HSE Disability Guidance Services, Work-Start West Cork, and the West Cork Community Partnership.
It is the only such programme in Ireland to be singled out by the international body.
The WHO hopes to empower governments and other stakeholders across the globe to follow these 25 examples and introduce similar services.
