Whitechurch residents will meet to oppose part of the proposed M20 Motorway

The group have criticised the consultation process and say they plan on lodging objections to the plan
The 'No to Navy' group say around 1,300 people have signed a petition against four lanes of motorway running through their area and have called on Transport Infrastructure Ireland to prioritise upgrade works on the existing N20 instead.
The group have criticised the consultation process and say they plan on lodging objections to the plan.
Speaking to RedFM News, Edel Humphreys says she and her neighbours have safety concerns:
"I think people are very annoyed, and the routers there when the router there yes the road needs to be upgraded because it isn't a safe road, but between Blackpool and Rathduff, I think is adequate for the traffic that's there. People are afraid of rat runs, there'll be people trying to avoid the motorway and then cut into country roads. We live on a smaller road where our kids cycle, our kids run on these roads, they walk in these roads."
