Wilton Residents Association Call For Their Voices To Be Heard About The Redevelopment Of Wilton Shopping Centre

Locals have expressed concern about the disruption that will be caused
That's John Leahy of the Wilton Residents Association who says they've had enough of being dismissed and they want their concerns about the redevelopment of Wilton Shopping Centre to be addressed.
The €100 million revamp, which includes a 190-bed hotel, a 14-screen cinema, additional retail space, a two-storey extension to Penneys and a multi-level car park, was recently granted conditional permission.
However locals have expressed concern about the disruption that will be caused by construction as well as the impact of additional traffic on their health and well being.
The Wilton Residents Association say while they're not against development the scale of these plans will grind traffic in the area to a halt in the area and will have detrimental consequences for those trying to access the hospital.
Speaking to RedFM News John Leahy of the Wilton Residents Association says the infrastructure in the Wilton area and the surrounds cannot cope with the plans:
