Witnesses recount Buncrana pier tragedy at inquest
Witnesses to the Buncrana pier tragedy have told an inquest they could hear children screaming as their car entered the water.
Five members of one family, including three children, died in the incident in March 2016.
An inquest into their deaths began this morning and witnesses have described how Sean McGrotty called for help from the drivers seat as the car drifted away from the pier.
They've also described how there was slippery algae at the end of the pier in Buncrana which outsiders might not have understood the dangers of.
